The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a holistic and engaging program where young children, who need more support than is available in mainstream pre-schooling, can come and receive intensive intervention to best support them in developing the appropriate skills needed to join their mainstream peers; once they are of primary school age. In order to help children reach their potential, we have highly motivated and qualified teachers, speech therapists and occupational therapists conducting small group therapy sessions within the normal hours of the programme.
We have developed a specialised provision for children who are in need of extra support with regards to appropriate communication, sensory integration, speech delays and social skills. The program is also designed and catered to facilitate and nurture the learning of students with various learning difficulties.
A safe, engaging and nurturing environment is important for children to be able to develop their skills and interact appropriately, with both their peers and adults. We integrate this belief into all aspects of the program and create opportunities for the children to develop their social interaction through guided assistance.
Keeping in mind that every child is unique with individual learning needs, we tailor an Individual Education Plan (IEP) service which is best suited to every single child’s need.
The programme equips them with cognitive, communication, fine/gross motor, social and self-help skills through:
Our early intervention programme offers small group speech and occupational therapy sessions integrated into the days of the program, with a particular focus on appropriate social interaction and communication with peers and adults, and a greater awareness of others and their surroundings. Our targeted and specific objectives approach allows children to achieve success, inspiring motivation within self to continue developing and achieving more. Our focus and commitment to have a small teacher to student ratio (1:4) in classes also allows more attention and opportunities for success to be given to the students.
The majority of our students leave us to attend a mainstream setting. Because we know it is every parent’s aim for their child to attend school with typical peers, we ensure that we focus on the relevant skills children will need to make a transition as smooth as possible when they move on from Dynamics.
Our programme is flexible to the needs of each individual child. We offer both full-time and part-time programs giving children the opportunity to attend both our EIP and mainstream schooling, further supporting the transition into mainstream.
We understand that often children have a wide range of needs; that may mean they are spending time with many different professionals. We endeavour to create positive working relationships with parents and all adults or professionals (both within the Dynamics affiliates and externally) that work with each of our students to ensure we can provide the best support needed for each individual child.
