Rafizah is a Registered Psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society and is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA). She has worked in institutional, community and school settings in Singapore since 2008.

She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with developmental challenges including Autism, Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Difficulties and associated socioemotional and behavioural problems. She designed and facilitated seminars for both, parents and other professionals on various topics, including behaviour management, communication, social skills and school readiness.

Rafizah loves working with children and adolescents. She specialises in cognitive (IQ) and diagnostic assessments; and runs a positive behavioural management clinic. She helps families with behaviour challenges such as toilet training, school refusal, sleeping problems, picky eating, anger management, aggression, self-stimulatory behaviour and socialization issues. These interventions are individualized to build on the child’s interests, promote self-esteem and offer the child and family a predictable schedule. She invites parents, caregivers and teachers as part of the treatment process. Rafizah also provides counselling and expert support for families seeking or dealing with diagnosis of a developmental disorder. She is able to conduct therapy sessions in English, Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.

Rafizah is an advocate for inclusivity and believes that with the right guidance and opportunities, all children can develop as individuals who will make meaningful contributions and connections in the society.
