I am an Irish Speech and Language Therapist who studied at University College Cork, Ireland. I am a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.

I have experience working with a diverse caseload of children with articulation and phonological delays and disorders, language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and intellectual and special learning disabilities. I have volunteered with a social group for children with special needs for several years and I am aware of the communicative difficulties they face in different environments, and what can be done to facilitate and enhance their communication.

I am enthusiastic to develop my professional skills as a Speech and Language Therapist. I have completed Level 1 of Lámh (Irish sign system for people with special needs). I have completed Autism Awareness training and Intensive Interaction Therapy training. I am also certified in the ‘Introduction to Children First’ e-learning programme developed by TUSLA, the Irish child and Family Agency.

I enjoy working with children, and I create a fun and energetic atmosphere to engage them in therapy and develop their communication potential to the fullest. I believe it is vitally important to have parents and caregivers actively involved in sessions and the overall therapy process, and I value their opinions and strive to work with them to generalise therapy goals into the home environment and beyond. I work closely with other team members to ensure that all of the child’s needs are met and they have an improved quality of life.
