Yasmeen is a Child Psychologist and holds a Master in Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University. She is a member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). Yasmeen has experience with psychoeducational assessments, counselling, and evidence based interventions in both individual and group settings.
Yasmeen takes on a holistic approach to therapy, with a particular interest in emotional and self regulation. She is passionate about helping young people develop the skills to become independent and resilient to overcome challenges in their own lives. She works collaboratively with parents, school staff, and other health professionals and believes in integrating biology, psychology, and socio-environmental factors into therapy to create positive, long-lasting changes. She adopts a range of evidence based treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, play therapy and mindfulness.
Yasmeen also provides assessments for children and adolescents with a range of neurodevelopmental issues such as intellectual disability, attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties.
Yasmeen has volunteered, worked and studied in many countries including Australia, US, Greece and Singapore, and is passionate about working with clients and families from various ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
