Rhodante is a registered Speech and Language therapist with the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. She obtained her Bachelors of Speech and language therapy from the University College Cork in Ireland. She is also an overseas practicing member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.
She enjoys working with children of all ages. She has worked with children with a variety of types and severities of communication needs including diagnoses of receptive and expressive language delays/ disorders, phonological and articulation delays/ disorders and autism- spectrum disorder.
Prior to joining the Dynamics Therapy team, she returned home to Barbados to work as a Speech and language therapist in a private clinic. Part of her work included working in five private primary schools offering therapy on site, co-ordinating with multi-disciplinary team members (Occupational therapy, Teachers, Behavioural therapists, etc.), running Lego groups and conducting speech and language screenings of pre-school aged children.
Rhodante believes therapy sessions should be fun and engaging and encourages parents to take part in sessions as it better facilitates carry over to the home environment. She keeps up to date with the evidence base for therapy techniques and programmes to ensure that the therapy she is providing will be the most beneficial to her clients.
