OUR APPROACH

One Team. One Plan. Under One Roof.

Your child may need speech therapy, occupational therapy, or educational therapy, or a combination of services. Our team works together under one roof so nothing gets missed.

TUITION VS EDUCATIONAL THERAPY

Educational Therapy isn't just more tuition.

When a child is already struggling, more tuition can feel like more pressure, not more help. The differences between Educational Therapy and tuition are greater than most parents realise.

Tuition

  • Teaches school content, whether 1:1 or in a group, using worksheets and test prep
  • Assumes the child can keep up if they just practise more
  • Tailored to the school syllabus, not your child's specific learning profile
  • Works for children who need extra practice, not for children with underlying learning difficulties

Educational Therapy

Specialist support that finds the root cause and rebuilds the foundations

Starts with the right diagnosis

Investigates the underlying cognitive skills memory, attention, auditory and visual processing that affect how your child learns.

Designs an individualised programme

Pinpoints specific gaps in literacy, maths, cognitive, or study skills, then orates intervention matched to your child's learning profile.

Delivered by specialists

1:1 sessions with an experienced educational therapist who understands how to use your child's strengths to support the weaker areas.

Tracks progress using SMART goals

Targeted intervention, leading to noticeable growth in skills, confidence and enjoyment in learning.

Connects the dots between home and school

Practical recommendations for teachers and parents so the support continues beyond the therapy room. Backed by a multidisciplinary clinical team (OT, Speech, Psychology) when other needs surface.

Where your child needs us most

📖

Literacy Support

Reading, writing, comprehension and spelling. We help children who are falling behind in language art build the foundational skills they need.

  1. Phonological awareness
  2. Decoding and reading fluency
  3. Reading comprehension
  4. Spelling and writing skills
🔢

Numeracy Support

Strong number sense goes deeper than memorising, it builds the foundation that makes maths click. We help children develop their understanding of number, and apply skills across topics.

  • Number sense and operations
  • Mathematical reasoning and problem solving
  • Conceptual understanding over rote learning
  • Strategies to tackle word problems
🧠

Executive Functioning

Organisation, planning, attention, and working memory - these skills are important for successful homework completion, school performance, and test-taking.

  • Planning and time management
  • Attention and focus strategies
  • Working memory
  • Self-monitoring and self-correction

Parent of child at Dynamics

"Our daughter is now able to recognize numbers from 1 to 10, write numbers, and solve simple addition exercises. For us, this is a very meaningful improvement. To another parent who is wondering whether educational therapy at Dynamics could help their child, I would say that it is absolutely worth exploring."

Things Parents Often Ask Us

Educational Therapy does more. It starts with assessment to understand why your child is struggling and works out how best to help them learn effectively.

No. Many of our clients come without a diagnosis. They just know something isn't clicking. We'll start by understanding your child's profile through our consultation and informal assessment. If a formal assessment would help, we can refer you internally to our Psychology team.

English, Mandarin, and Tamil. Share your preference when you book and we will match you with the right therapist for your family.

Progress comes with consistent, regular work over weeks, not days. Real change in literacy, numeracy or executive functioning typically needs consistent weekly practice over many months. Most families begin to see noticeable results within the first 3 months. We provide regular updates so you always know what's improving and what we're still working on.

Usually 1 hour, 1:1 with your child in our Orchard Road clinic. Sessions are structured around your child's individualised plan and may cover literacy, numeracy, executive functioning skills, or content subjects like science, depending on your child's needs. Most children work across several areas, with the emphasis shifting through the year (more revision support during exam periods, more skill-building between them). We brief parents at the end of every session.

Absolutely. Many of our Educational Therapy clients also work with one of our Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, or Psychologists, all in the same building. Cross-discipline collaboration is a core part of how we work, so there's no need to travel to different providers.
