Reaching out for therapy takes courage and figuring out what’s actually going on for you can feel like the hardest part. My approach is to slow things down. Together we’ll untangle what’s underneath, name it clearly, and find ways forward that fit your life rather than someone else’s idea of what should help.
My clinical experience spans child and youth mental health services, forensic and correctional settings, and prior to clinical training, several years as a Senior Special Educational Needs Officer with the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore, working with students, families, and educators around learning, developmental, and emotional needs.
Sessions with me tend to be honest, warm, and practical. You don’t need to come in with the right words or know exactly what’s wrong — that’s what we’re here to figure out, together.
Areas of Specialization
- Anxiety and stress-related difficulties
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and post-traumatic stress
- Emotional dysregulation
- Co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns
- Adolescent emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges
- Learning and special educational needs (informed by my MOE experience)
- Family, parenting, and relational concerns
- Identity, cultural, and life-transition issues
How we can work together?
Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to you. In early sessions, we’ll spend time understanding what’s brought you in, what you’re hoping might shift, and what’s worked — or hasn’t — for you in the past. From there, we build a plan together: breaking bigger concerns into smaller, workable steps and choosing the approach that suits the moment.
Depending on what you need, our work might draw on different approaches, held within a trauma-informed approach — meaning we move at your pace, and your sense of safety in the room is non-negotiable.
Who I Work With:
I work with adolescents (ages 12+), young adults, and adults. I particularly enjoy working with:
- Teens and young people facing emotional, behavioural, or developmental difficulties
- Students and families navigating learning differences or special educational needs
- Parents seeking support around their child’s mental health
- Young adults working through identity, independence, and life transitions
- Adults addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or long-standing relational patterns
- Clients from multicultural backgrounds who value a culturally sensitive approach
