Tracy is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and proudly holds the distinction of being the first Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) in Singapore. Her passion for supporting individuals with special needs began at a young age and has continued to shape her professional journey.
Tracy holds a BSc of Psychology, and MSc of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Bangor University in Wales, United Kingdom. During her studies, she actively interned and volunteered with children (both with and without special needs), who were facing academic challenges, applying ABA techniques to support their learning and development. She also returned to Singapore during summer breaks to volunteer with various schools and organisations, gaining valuable insights into how different institutions support children with special needs in the Singapore context.
Since 2015, Tracy has worked in the field of ABA across diverse settings in Singapore, and Dubai. She has supported clients ranging in age from 18 months to 24 years old, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Tracy has developed and implemented a wide range of programs, including early intervention programs, school readiness initiatives, shadowing, centre-based programs, home-based programs, community-based programs, and vocational training. She is deeply committed to designing individualised, needs-based programs that prioritize the personal goals and developmental trajectory of each client.
Her experience includes:
- Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams with psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational therapists and physiotherapists
- Providing ABA therapy and supervision in home-based, school-based, and center-based settings
- Providing and supervising shadow support in local and international schools
- Training and supervising therapists, teachers, and parents on the principles and applications of ABA
Tracy is especially passionate about promoting culturally adaptive ABA practices. She believes that ABA should be personalized not only to the individuals’ developmental needs, but also to the cultural context in which they live. Her mission is to help children and adolescents with developmental disabilities reach their full potential and be better equipped for the challenges which life may bring.
