Emily is a Speech and Language Therapist who enjoys building strong relationships with children, adolescents, and their families. She believes that therapy works best when it is collaborative, engaging, and tailored to each individual’s strengths, interests, and goals.

Emily’s career began in communications, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Media & Psychology) at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and worked in media and public relations. Through this experience, she discovered that her greatest satisfaction came from working directly with people and supporting them to achieve meaningful outcomes, which inspired her to pursue a career in speech therapy.

She went on to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) at the University of Sydney, Australia. Since then, Emily has worked across a range of settings, including schools, preschools, hospitals, community health services, and via telehealth, providing evidence-based assessment and intervention for children and adolescents with a variety of communication needs.

Emily’s clinical interests include social communication, pre-school and school-aged language development, literacy, speech sound disorders, and higher-level language skills. She enjoys working closely with families, educators, and other professionals to develop practical, evidence-based strategies that support communication across everyday environments.

Emily has also completed professional training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT). OMT focuses on improving the function and coordination of the muscles of the face, lips, tongue and jaw to address disorders that can impact dentition, chewing, swallowing, tongue resting posture, and nasal breathing. Emily incorporates evidence-informed OMT principles into assessment and intervention where appropriate, working collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals.
