Occupational Therapists

Kalaiselvan is an Occupational therapist. He earned both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University India. Kalai has been practising since 2007, and he has worked with families and clients with special needs from across different walks of life.

Kalaiselvan strongly believes in the "Occupational Performance-based Model" and emphasises being client-centred. In addition, Kalai has a keen interest in evidence-based practice, research, and innovation in Occupational Therapy.

Kalai specialises in areas such as routines-based intervention, early intervention, and assistive technology. He has a handful of experience working with children and adolescents across their life - span, supporting and addressing needs in the community, school and at home.

Kalai applies Sensory Integration and a Play-based approach; he enjoys spending time with young children and loves to keep his sessions lively. As a family centred practitioner, his core belief is that parents are the experts and know children better. Kalai likes spending time listening to life challenges and enhancing everyday problem-solving along with them. Kalai prioritizes building relationships as an integral part of understanding families and children in their most conducive environment.
