The cost of Physiotherapy in Singapore, which includes both consultation and treatment, generally ranges from S$110 – S$200 per session. A session is usually an hour long.
The average cost will vary, depending on the subsequent treatment(s) required, seniority of the physiotherapist, and/or delivery method of therapy, for example, home-based therapy. Home-based physiotherapy services will be slightly more expensive as the fees will take into account the physiotherapist’s travelling time and expenses.
Physiotherapy for adults involves a number of treatment methods, depending on the needs on hand. During such sessions, the physiotherapist applies techniques, such as exercises and manual therapy, to help treat the issues. Some of these physical challenges could be caused by musculoskeletal injuries or are post-operative. The therapist also provides mobility aid training (e.g. crutches) and weight management advice.
As a child’s physique and needs are different from an adult’s, physiotherapy for children requires a different set of specialised skills and experience to effectively treat issues faced by children. As such, these physiotherapists are usually trained and experienced in paediatrics. Some of the physical impairments that are treated include cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, gait-related issues, toe walking, bow knees and fractures. Other areas of focus are developmental milestones and gross motor skills.
Physiotherapy is suitable for children, aged 0 month to 18 years old. The physiotherapist uses multiple techniques, that include movement training, flexibility exercises and adaptive play, to improve the child’s strength, balance and coordination, and flexibility, among other essential skills.
Dynamics offers individualised physiotherapy services for both children and adults, which cost* from:
